Hi! I’m Ray Kadiri and I’m a professional makeup artist based in Ontario, Canada.
My passion for creation, superb attention to detail, and love of art combine to present my clients with their most suitable look for whatever the occasion may be.
I seek to empower others by highlighting the beauty within. I specialise in all skin tones and textures and I have worked with models, actors, brands, agencies, fashion houses, professionals and private clients for magazine shoots, promotional events, red carpets and more. I’ve also been booked for music videos, editorial campaigns and commercial shoots.
My artistry journey begun backstage as a model on sets in the Middle East. Now, over 12 years later; I specialise in creating the most beautiful skin, working away on the canvas of any client in my chair. My passion for beauty was ignited through not being given the same level of care that others were afforded.
So, I took matters into my own hands and started learning ways to feel empowered through beauty and requested to do my own makeup [and hair]. Overtime the models of colour would be designated to me for glam, and my passion grew working behind the scenes just as much as in front of the camera. Through this, I found great joy in helping others feel empowered about how they too could enhance their beauty.
Also; developing insomnia as a young athlete, and at quite a young age led me to discover the power of [colour correcting] and concealer.
My skills range from creating natural soft glam, ethereal beauty looks, and edgy editorial makeup for those who seek to evoke emotion, to fashion makeup which could be seen on a catwalk and runway.
From working my way in beauty retail at Sephora, to working with brands such as Laura Mercier and More; I have now developed quite exceptional skills through diverse experiences that was ignited through creativity and love for fashion that continues to grow with time.
